About SEER

Who SEER is, how the Foundation began, and what it is working towards.

SEER Foundation for the Blind is a blind-led and sighted-assisted organization based in Lahore, Pakistan. The Foundation is committed to advancing employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for persons with blindness through research, skill development, and capacity building.

SEER Foundation was established on 21 December 2024 by three blind individuals — Mr. Furqan Ahmed Siddiqi, Mr. Zohaib Hassan, and Mr. Abdul Shakoor — along with their sighted founding partner, Mr. Taimoor Ahmed. Since its establishment, the organization has grown into a team of more than thirty members and is actively delivering its services and initiatives.

Currently, 100% of SEER Foundation for the Blind’s activities are conducted digitally, enabling the organization to reach and engage with people with blindness beyond geographical boundaries.

To build an inclusive ecosystem where people with blindness and their sighted partners thrive together, contribute equally, and become skilled innovators and problem solvers who create lasting impact for society and humanity.

Mission

At SEER, we empower people with blindness and their sighted partners through skill development, meaningful employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning. We drive positive change through inclusive initiatives, evidence-based research, and data-driven decision-making, enabling individuals to become confident, independent, and impactful contributors to their communities.
